Madeleine Cohen
Born in Rabat, Morocco, Madeleine started her journey when she moved from Morocco and arrived in Israel as a young teenager. After she joined Kibbutz Ma'Abarot, she attended the Tadmor Hotel Management School in Hertzlia, Israel, in 1963, and became the youngest graduate in the school's history. Her trek continued when she started working in the reservations department for the new Caesarea Hotel. Madeleine accumulated fourteen years of hotel management experience in Israel and destiny brought her to Chicago in 1976 where she joined a local travel agency to develop tourism to her homeland...Israel.
In 1980, Madeleine was appointed Midwest Sales Representative for Kopel Tours, the largest Israel tour operator at that time. In 1983, Madeleine launched out on her own with the creation of Bell Wholesale Travel, Inc. - currently one of the leaders in tourism to Israel.
Madeleine's love for Israel is her secret weapon to success and continued commitment to Israel tourism!
In 1998, the Government of Israel - Ministry of Tourism North America awarded Madeleine Cohen with the Fiftieth Anniversary Israel Travel and Tourism Award !
