Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Depart on the date of your choice for overnight flight to Israel, beverages and meals served on board.
Day 2
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport you will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 3
The
Old City will be the starting point for the tour, beginning at Mount
Scopus for a breathtaking view of entire city spread out below.
Continue to the Jewish Quarter, with a walk through the reconstructed
Cardo, once on the main street in Byzantine Jerusalem. Visit the
Herodian Mansions, remains of the upper city in Herod’s reign and
proceed to the Western Wall. Walk through the Western Tunnel and then
drive to the Holyland Hotel to visit the Second Temple Model of
Jerusalem. Mazal Tov! Optional: Bar Mitzvah Ceremony at Western Wall.

Day 4
Today
we continue with sighteeing in Jerusalem and tour the New City. We
start the day with a special event to commemorate your visit to Israel
- planting your own tree in the Jewish National Fund Forest. Continue
to Yad Vashem Memorial to the Holocaust and to the Nearby Mount Herzl.
Proceed to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book housing the
Dead Sea Scrolls. Return to your hotel via the Haas Promendade for a
panoramic view of the Old City and the Judean Desert. Optional: Tonight enjoy a roman style dinner at the famous Cardo Culinarium Restaurant.

Day 5
Day at leisure.

Day 6
Depart
Jerusalem and drive via Beersheva, Capital of the Negev, to the Dead
Sea, the lowest spot on earth. Drive along its shores to Masada and
ascend by cable car to view the famed archaeological ruins including
King Herod’s Palace. Descend, and drive to the Ein-Gedi Spa, for lunch
and enjoy the remainder of the day in the spa facilities, relaxing and
having fun or trying the unique “Dead Sea float”. Optional: Enjoy lunch
at the Ein Gedi Spa and spent the remainder of the day in the spa
facilities, relaxing and having fun. Mazal Tov! Optional: Bar/Bat Mitzvah Ceremony.

Day 7
Today
we leave Jerusalem. In the morning explore the Archaeological site of
Tal-Maresha at Beit Guvrin, digging, hands-on excavating and trying to
discover hidden treasures from the time of Herod. This site offers a
labyrinth of rooms and underground installations. Continue to Tiberias
via the Jordan Valley. The afternoon will be spent at a “Water Park” on
the shores of the lake. Continue to your Hotel for dinner. Optional:
in the morning explore Tal–Meresha, digging, hands on excavating and
trying to discover hidden treasures from the time of Herod. Overnight: Haifa / Tiberias
Day 8
Spend
the day in the Northern Galilee and the Golan. Visit Capernaum to view
the ruins of an ancient synagogue. Drive to Beit Shean, the most
monumental Roman/Byzantine City in the area. Continue sightseeing in
the Golan and the Banias, with its beautiful waterfall. Enjoy a
Bar-B-Que dinner before returning to your hotel. Optional:
Start the day with a two hour jeep tour, driving along the Nature
Reserve to the Golan Heights and the old patrol road of 1967. Optional: Enjoy the experience of kayaking and rafting on the Jordan River.
Overnight: Haifa / Tiberias
Day 9
Our
last day in Galilee. An early morning start will first take us to
Safed, with its old synagogues and Artists Quarter. Drive through the
hills of the Galilee to Zippori, an ancient city from Roman and
Byzantine periods and see its magnificent mosaics. Continue to the
nearby Kfar Kedem in Mitzpe Hosha’aya where you can smell, taste and
experience life as it was 2000 years ago in the Galilean Hills. You
will have the opportunity to relive some of the Biblical Village life
and appreciate the importance of domestic animals while being treated
to traditional foods in a shepherds’ tent. Leave the Lower Galilee and
drive towards the Mediterranean Sea to arrive at the historic site of
Caesarea, to view the Roman and Byzantine archaeological finds, the
Crusader fortifications and the Amphitheater. Drive via the coastal
road and stop in Haifa to visit the Bahai Temple and its exotic
gardens. Continue on to Tel Aviv. Overnight: Tel Aviv
Day 10
Morning
tour of Tel Aviv beginning with a drive along Dizengoff Street, Habima
National Theater, Mann Auditorium. Continue to the Museum of the Jewish
Diaspora at the University Campus to view the story of the Jewish
People’s history and culture during the 2700 years of Diaspora. End the
day at the exciting and colorful Carmel Market. Those who wish will
have the opportunity to taste the typical local ‘Falafel” lunch. Wander
at your leisure through the open-air arts and crafts fair in the
Nachalat Benyamin Midrachov where you can see the work of local
artisans and do last-minute shopping for presents and souvenirs.
Optional: Farewell Dinner at seaside restaurant in Jaffa. Overnight: Tel Aviv
Day 11
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for early morning departure to USA
